Safe Cities Program 2021: Visioning a Safer Philippines for Women and Girls

This March 2021, as part of the National Women’s Month celebration, the IPG and SOFP supported by the UNTF, are revitalizing the Safe Cities Metro Manila Programme and its network of advocates. This initiative will also be part of the 10-year Anniversary of the UN Women Safe Cities Program.

In relation to this, Sri Sofjan will be speaking at the “Visioning a Safer Philippines for Women and Girls” virtual event. The event aims to:
•       to revitalize the Safe Cities program in the Philippines, with the recent passing of the RA 11313 or Safe Spaces Act, and extending the collaborative work on Safe Cities to other CSOs; and
•       to share lessons, gaps and opportunities gleaned through the first year of project implementation with the UNTF and interested stakeholders.

Solidarity of Oppressed Filipino People, Inc.
