DESCRIPTION:This event features voices from the Stand for Her Land (S4HL) campaign – grassroots leaders from both rural and urban communities who hold deep expertise on securing gender equal rights for women, and engaging men and whole communities for gender justice. They will share their vision for a future where power over land and natural resources is shared and used to benefit all, a world where humanity lives in harmony with Mother Earth, a world where we have achieved gender justice.\n \nMino Ramaroson, Global Land Specialist and Regional Coordinator for Africa at the Huairou Commission will be moderating the session.\nMaité Rodríguez Blandón, grassroots leader from Guatemala who the is Regional Coordinator of the “Women and Peace Network” in Central America and the “Women and Habitat Latin America and Caribbean Network” – both founding networks of the Huairou Commission, and sits on Huairou’s Governing Council will be speaking at this event.\n
